Beyene is the founding Board Chair of the Irob Advocacy Association (IAA). A lifelong advocate for the Irob people, he brings decades of leadership rooted in cultural knowledge, mentorship, and organizational excellence. With a background in introductory studies and ancient philosophy, his early academic grounding informs his principled approach to justice and advocacy. Known for his humility, reliability, and commitment to equity, Beyene continues to guide IAA’s vision while inspiring youth and fostering solidarity for marginalized voices. 

Seyoum is the founding Executive Director of the Irob Advocacy Association (IAA), based in Addis Ababa. He oversees the organization’s day-to-day operations and leads its public media outreach, drawing on extensive leadership experience in community development and nonprofit management. With a background in both environmental science and business administration, Seyoum brings a unique blend of strategic insight and grassroots engagement. His unwavering commitment to the Irob community drives his work to amplify voices, promote equity, and foster meaningful change.

Tesfay is Vice Chair of the IAA Board and a longtime leader in Irob community development. He has played a central role in advancing key initiatives, including founding the Irob Development Association (IDA). With his education and professional experience in environmental and geoinformation sciences, he manages the IAA website and leads project proposal development. Tesfay’s deep commitment to advocacy and service makes him a driving force in the organization’s mission. 

Ghirmay Ghezahagn is a data management specialist at American University and a passionate advocate for human rights in Ethiopia. As Secretary of the IAA Board, he pairs strategic leadership with meticulous organization to advance transparency and mission-driven action. A sharp critic of injustice, Ghirmay is a compelling voice in civic discourse, using analysis and advocacy to connect communities—especially Irob youth—with the tools to shape a more just and inclusive future.
